SPARE PARTS

This Warranty applies to Spare parts sold by MWM and its Authorized Distribution Network and guarantees against defects in manufacture or material.

  • Parts line MWM Genuine Parts:limitada a 12 (doce) meses, incluyendo la garantía legal de 90 (noventa) días, contados a partir de la fecha de venta del producto (emisión de la Factura de venta del producto al cliente final);

 

  • Parts line MWM Optional Parts and Master Partslines: limited to 06 (six) months, including the 90 (ninety) day legal guarantee, counted from the date of sale of the product (issue of the invoice for the sale of the products to the end customer).

NOT COVERED by the Spare Parts Warranty:

 

  • Loss of profit, inconveniences, rental of replacement equipment, rental of transport vehicles (such as tow trucks and Munck-type cranes), personal, material or commercial losses or expenses that are a direct or indirect result of a product failure, even if such failure is covered by its Warranty.

 

  • The Warranty shall be void if it is shown that the defect or failure resulted from accidents, improper use of the product, failure to follow installation instructions, improper storage or transportation, or lack of experience, incompetence, or negligence on the part of the technician responsible for installing the part.

To apply for the MWM Spare Parts warranty, go with the part and the respective purchase invoice to the MWM Authorized Distributor from which the respective item was purchased and apply for a warranty analysis.

COMPLETE MWM ENGINES (EXCEPT SEAFARERS)
This Warranty applies to engines manufactured by MWM Motores and guarantees, against manufacturing or material defects, original parts and accessories with which the products are equipped at the time of purchase.

The engine warranty covers a total of 12 (twelve) months with no limit on hours, including the 90 (ninety) day legal warranty. The warranty period starts from the date of technical delivery by the assembler of the vehicle/equipment to which the engine is applied, or, if this does not exist, from the issue of the sales invoice for the engine to the first user/assembler.

The equipment warranty is subject to compliance with the conditions of use and maintenance set out in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.

 

Failure to observe the procedures and specifications contained in the manuals may result in loss of performance, engine malfunction, damage and consequently loss of warranty.

 

NOTE: Repairs carried out during the warranty period do not renew or alter the engine's original warranty period.

NOT COVERED by the Engine Warranty:

 

  • Belts, filters and other parts considered periodic maintenance items, except when their replacement is due to a consequential fault covered by the Warranty.
  • Loss of profit, inconveniences, rental of replacement equipment, rental of transport vehicles (such as tow trucks and Munck-type cranes), personal, material or commercial losses or expenses that are a direct or indirect result of a product failure, even if such failure is covered by its Warranty.
  • The warranty covers the parts and labor required for the repair, and freight and other expenses are not covered.
  • Expenses arising from periodic maintenance services such as replacing gaskets, sealants, filters, lubricating oil, fuel, grease and the like, as well as paint damage, are not covered by this Warranty.
  • The Warranty will become null and void when it is proven that the defect or breakage was the result of accidents, improper use of the product, failure to observe maintenance instructions, improper storage, inexperience, malpractice or negligence on the part of the system operator, or the use of improper equipment not recommended by MWM.
  • The Warranty will become null and void when it is proven that the defect or breakage was the result of accidents, improper use of the product, failure to observe maintenance instructions, improper storage, inexperience, malpractice or negligence on the part of the system operator, or the use of improper equipment not recommended by MWM.
  • Parts or components that are defective due to the use of other non-MWM parts or components improperly applied to the product are excluded from the warranty.
  • A product that has been neglected in any way and has affected its safety is also excluded from the warranty.

MWM MARINE ENGINES
This Warranty applies to marine propulsion engines manufactured by MAN and sold by MWM Motores and guarantees, against manufacturing or material defects, original parts and accessories with which the products are equipped at the time of purchase.
  • Leisure Line (Light Duty)
    The engine warranty covers a total of 24 (twenty-four) months, limited to 1,000 (one thousand) hours of engine operation, which already includes the 90 (ninety) days of legal warranty and an additional 12 (twelve) months for the basic engine components. The warranty period begins on the date of commissioning of the vessel to which the engine is applied, or, if this does not exist, on the issuance of the sales invoice for the engine to the first user/shipyard.
    The equipment warranty is subject to compliance with the conditions of use and maintenance set out in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.

The warranty period begins on the date of commissioning of the vessel to which the engine is applied, or, if this does not exist, on the issuance of the sales invoice for the engine to the first user/shipyard.

MWM MARINE ENGINES

    • Engine block (casting defect)
    • Crankshaft (forging defect)
    • Camshaft (forging defect)
    • Carter (casting defect)

    The engine warranty covers a total of 24 (twenty-four) months, limited to 1,000 (one thousand) hours of engine operation, including the 90 (ninety) day legal warranty and an additional 12 (twelve) months for basic engine components. The warranty period starts from the date of commissioning of the vessel to which the engine is applied, or, if this does not exist, from the issue of the sales invoice for the engine to the first user/boatyard.

    The equipment warranty is subject to compliance with the conditions of use and maintenance set out in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.

    Failure to observe the procedures and specifications contained in the manuals may result in loss of performance, engine malfunction, damage and consequently loss of warranty.

  • Work Line (Medium Duty)
    The engine warranty covers a total of 12 (twelve) months, limited to 4,000 (four thousand) hours of engine operation, including the 90 (ninety) day legal warranty. The warranty period starts from the date of commissioning of the vessel to which the engine is applied.The warranty is conditional on the approval of the engines during commissioning (installation and performance) and compliance with the conditions of use and maintenance informed in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.Failure to observe the procedures and specifications contained in the manuals may result in loss of performance, engine malfunction, damage and consequently loss of warranty.NOTE: Repairs carried out during the warranty period do not renew or alter the engine's original warranty period.

 

  • Heavy Duty Line
    The engine warranty covers a total of 12 (twelve) months with no limit on the engine's operating hours, including the 90 (ninety) day legal warranty. The warranty period starts from the date of commissioning of the vessel to which the engine is applied.
    The warranty is subject to the approval of the engines during commissioning (installation and performance) and compliance with the conditions of use and maintenance set out in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual. Failure to comply with the procedures and specifications contained in the manuals may result in loss of performance, engine malfunction, damage and consequently loss of the warranty.NOTE: Repairs carried out during the warranty period do not renew or alter the engine's original warranty period.

NOT COVERED by the MWM Marine Engines Warranty:

 

  • Belts, filters and other parts considered periodic maintenance items, except when their replacement is due to a consequential fault covered by the Warranty.
  • Loss of profits, inconvenience, rental of replacement equipment, damages or personal, material or commercial expenses, which are a direct or indirect consequence of the failure of your product, even if such failure is covered by your Warranty.
  • The warranty covers the parts and labor required for the repair.
  • Expenses arising from periodic maintenance services such as replacing gaskets, sealants, filters, lubricating oil, fuel, grease and the like, as well as paint damage, are not covered by this Warranty.
  • The Warranty will become null and void when it is proven that the defect or breakage was the result of accidents, improper use of the product, failure to observe maintenance instructions, improper storage, inexperience, malpractice or negligence on the part of the system operator, or the use of improper equipment not recommended by MWM.

This warranty applies to OXE outboard engines marketed by MWM Motores and guarantees, against manufacturing or material defects, original parts and accessories with which the products were equipped at the time of purchase.
  • Leisure Line
    The engine warranty covers a total of 60 (sixty) months, limited to 2,000 (two thousand) hours of engine operation, including the 90 (ninety) day legal warranty. The warranty period starts from the date of commissioning of the vessel to which the engine is applied.The equipment warranty is subject to compliance with the conditions of use and maintenance set out in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.The total warranty shown is subject to the approval of the engines during commissioning (installation and performance) and compliance with the conditions of use and maintenance set out in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.
    Failure to observe the procedures and specifications contained in the manuals may result in loss of performance, engine malfunction, damage and consequently loss of warranty.
    NOTE: Repairs carried out during the warranty period do not renew or alter the engine's original warranty period.

 

  • Work Line
    The engine warranty covers a total of 24 (twenty-four) months, limited to 2,000 (two thousand) hours of engine operation, including the 90 (ninety) day legal warranty. The warranty period starts from the date of commissioning of the vessel to which the engine is applied. The equipment warranty is subject to compliance with the conditions of use and maintenance set out in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual. The full warranty shown is subject to the approval of the engines during commissioning (installation and performance) and compliance with the conditions of use and maintenance stated in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.Failure to observe the procedures and specifications contained in the manuals may result in loss of performance, engine malfunction, damage and consequently loss of warranty.
    NOTE: Repairs carried out during the warranty period do not renew or alter the engine's original warranty period.

NOT COVERED as a warranty for OXE outboard motors:

 

  • Belts, filters and other parts considered periodic maintenance items, except when their replacement is due to a consequential fault covered by the Warranty.
  • Damage resulting from rust or corrosion.
  • Damage to the cooling system caused by blockage/entry of foreign material and/or sand or debris from deterioration of the water pump.
  • Loss of profits, inconvenience, rental of replacement equipment, damages or personal, material or commercial expenses, which are a direct or indirect consequence of the failure of your product, even if such failure is covered by your Warranty.
  • The warranty covers the parts and labor required for the repair.
  • Expenses arising from periodic maintenance services such as replacing gaskets, sealants, filters, lubricating oil, fuel, grease and the like, as well as paint damage, are not covered by this Warranty.
  • The Warranty will become null and void when it becomes evident that the defect or breakage was the result of accidents, improper use of the product (including racing), failure to observe maintenance instructions, improper storage, inexperience, malpractice or negligence on the part of the system operator, or the use of improper equipment not recommended by OXE.
  • The Warranty will become null and void when it is proven that the defect or breakage was the result of accidents, improper use of the product, failure to observe maintenance instructions, improper storage, inexperience, malpractice or negligence on the part of the system operator, or the use of improper equipment not recommended by MWM.
  • OXE/MWM may reject a warranty claim due to non-application of the long inactivity procedure, since a motor that has been inactive for a long period is susceptible to attack by corrosive agents. Engines must be protected every two (2) months of inactivity, so after this period it is mandatory to apply the procedure described in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.
  • Parts or components that are defective due to the use of other non-MWM parts or components improperly applied to the product are excluded from the warranty.
  • A product that has been neglected in any way and has affected its safety is also excluded from the warranty.

NORTHERN-LIGHTS / MWM MARINE GENERATORS
This Warranty applies to MWM manufactured gensets and guarantees, against manufacturing or material defects, original parts and accessories with which the products are equipped at the time of purchase.

The equipment warranty covers a total of 12 (twelve) months with no limit on operating hours, including the 90 (ninety) day legal warranty. If the equipment does not reach 2,500 operating hours in the first 12 months, an additional warranty of 48 (forty-eight) months will be provided. This additional warranty is limited to a total of 2,500 operating hours, counted from the date of commissioning. The warranty mentioned in this clause will apply as follows:

 

  • 1st year (month 1 to month 12): Parts cover + Repair labor

 

  • 2nd year (month 13 to month 24): Parts Coverage (the warranty referred to in this item will be provided up to a limit of 2,500 hours of total operation from the date of commissioning).
  • 3rd, 4th and 5th year (month 25 to 60): Coverage of selected parts - Engine block, cylinder heads, crankshaft, camshaft, exhaust and intake valves, tappets, exhaust and intake manifold, connecting rods, bearing bearings, stator and main alternator rotor. (the warranty referred to in this item will be provided up to a limit of 2,500 hours of total operation, counted from the date of commissioning)

The warranty period begins on the date the equipment is commissioned.
The warranty is subject to the Genset's approval during commissioning (installation and performance) and compliance with the conditions of use and maintenance set out in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.

Failure to observe the procedures and specifications contained in the manuals may result in loss of performance, engine malfunction, damage and consequently loss of warranty.

 

NOTE: Repairs carried out during the warranty period do not renew or alter the engine's original warranty period.

NOT COVERED by the Northern Lights/MWM Marine Gensets:

 

  • Travel, relocation, removal or installation costs.
  • Belts, filters and other parts considered to be periodic maintenance or natural wear items, except when their replacement is due to a consequential fault covered by the Warranty.
  • Loss of profit, inconvenience, rental of replacement equipment, rental of transport vehicles (such as winches and Munck trucks), personal, material or commercial losses or expenses, which are a direct or indirect consequence of the failure of your product, even if such failure is covered by your Warranty.
  • The warranty covers the parts and labor required for the repair, and freight and other expenses are not covered.
  • Expenses arising from periodic maintenance services such as replacing gaskets, sealants, filters, lubricating oil, fuel, grease and the like, as well as paint damage, are not covered by this Warranty.
  • The Warranty will become null and void when it becomes evident that the defect or breakage was the result of accidents, improper use of the product, failure to observe maintenance instructions, improper storage, inexperience, malpractice or negligence on the part of the system operator, or the use of improper equipment not recommended by Northern-Lights/MWM.
  • The Warranty will become null and void when it is proven that the defect or breakage was the result of accidents, improper use of the product, failure to observe maintenance instructions, improper storage, inexperience, malpractice or negligence on the part of the system operator, or the use of improper equipment not recommended by MWM.
  • Northern-Lights/MWM may reject a warranty claim due to non-application of the long inactivity procedure, since a motor that has been inactive for a long period is susceptible to attack by corrosive agents. Gensets must be protected every 03 (three) months of inactivity, so after this period it is mandatory to apply the procedure described in the Equipment Operation and Maintenance Manual.
  • The warranty does not cover equipment applications that have not been approved by your Applications Engineering department.
  • Parts or components that are defective due to the use of other parts or components that are not Northern-Lights/MWM and that have been improperly applied to the product are excluded from the warranty.
  • A product that has been neglected in any way and has affected its safety is also excluded from the warranty.

MWM GENERATORS
This Warranty applies to MWM Power Generators and guarantees, against defects in manufacture or material, original parts and accessories with which the products are equipped at the time of purchase.

When the technical delivery The MWM Generator warranty will be 12 (twelve) months, including the 90 (ninety) day statutory warranty. The warranty period runs from the date of technical delivery of the equipment, as evidenced by the Technical Assistance Report / Start-up Service Order.

 

When the technical delivery does not occur at the time of delivery (simple delivery of the equipment to the buyer), the warranty coverage will be 15 (fifteen) months - which already includes the 90 (ninety) days of the legal warranty - counted from the date of issue of the first invoice for the sale of the Generator.

 

For the warranty to be valid, the end customer must comply with the storage, handling, application, assembly and operating conditions stipulated by MWM and contained in the Operations and Maintenance Manual for the Product and its subsystems.

 

Failure to observe the procedures and specifications contained in the manuals may result in loss of performance, malfunction, damage and consequently loss of warranty.

 

NOTE: Repairs carried out during the warranty period do not renew or alter the original warranty period of the equipment.

NOT COVERED by the Genset Warranty:

 

  • Belts, filters and other parts considered to be periodic maintenance or natural wear items, except when their replacement is due to a consequential fault covered by the Warranty.
  • The warranty covers the parts and labor required for the repair, and freight and other expenses are not covered.
  • Expenses arising from periodic maintenance services such as replacing gaskets, sealants, filters, lubricating oil, fuel, grease and the like, as well as paint damage, are not covered by this Warranty.
  • The Warranty will become null and void when it is proven that the defect or breakage was the result of accidents, improper use of the product, failure to observe maintenance instructions, improper storage, inexperience, malpractice or negligence on the part of the system operator, or the use of improper equipment not recommended by MWM.
  • The Warranty will become null and void when it is proven that the defect or breakage was the result of accidents, improper use of the product, failure to observe maintenance instructions, improper storage, inexperience, malpractice or negligence on the part of the system operator, or the use of improper equipment not recommended by MWM.
  • The warranty will become null and void if it becomes apparent that the engine has been used with unsuitable fuel or fuel that does not meet the specifications contained in the engine manuals and that damages the injection system and related parts.
  • The warranty does not cover equipment applications that have not been approved by your Applications Engineering department.
  • Parts or components that are defective due to the use of other non-MWM parts or components improperly applied to the product are excluded from the warranty.
  • A product that has been neglected in any way and has affected its safety is also excluded from the warranty.

MWM LIGHTING TOWERS
This Warranty applies to Lighting Towers manufactured by MWM and guarantees, against manufacturing or material defects, original parts and accessories with which the products are equipped at the time of purchase.

When the technical delivery The warranty on MWM lighting towers is 12 (twelve) months, including the 90 (ninety) day legal warranty. The warranty period is counted from the date of technical delivery of the equipment, as evidenced by the Technical Assistance Report / Start-up Service Order.

 

When the technical delivery does not take place at the time of tradition (simple delivery of the equipment to the buyer), the warranty coverage will be 15 (fifteen) months, which already includes the 90 (ninety) days of the legal warranty, counted from the date of issue of the first sales invoice for the Lighting Tower. For the warranty to be valid, the end customer must comply with the storage, handling, application, assembly and operating conditions stipulated by MWM and contained in the Operations and Maintenance Manual for the Product and its subsystems.

 

Failure to observe the procedures and specifications contained in the manuals may result in loss of performance, malfunction, damage and consequently loss of warranty.

NOT COVERED by the MWM Lighting Towers warranty:

 

  • Belts, filters, tires and other parts considered to be periodic maintenance or natural wear items, except when their replacement is due to a consequential fault covered by the Warranty.

  • In the case of versions of the MWM Lighting Tower equipped with a diesel engine, the Warranty will become null and void when it becomes evident that the use of unsuitable fuel or fuel outside the specifications contained in the engine manuals has damaged the injection system and related parts.
  • In the case of MWM Lighting Tower versions equipped with a diesel engine, MWM may reject a warranty claim due to failure to apply the long inactivity procedure, since an engine inactive for a long period is susceptible to attack by corrosive agents. Lighting Towers leave the factory protected for a maximum of 03 (three) months of inactivity under closed cover, so after this period it is mandatory to apply the procedure described in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.
  • The warranty does not cover equipment applications that have not been approved by your Applications Engineering department.
  • Parts or components that are defective due to the use of other non-MWM parts or components improperly applied to the product are excluded from the warranty.
  • A product that has been neglected in any way and has affected its safety is also excluded from the warranty.

MWM MOTOR PUMPS
This Warranty applies to Motor Pumps manufactured by MWM and guarantees, against manufacturing or material defects, original parts and accessories with which the products are equipped at the time of purchase.

When the technical delivery The warranty for the MWM Motor Pump will be 12 (twelve) months, including the 90 (ninety) day legal warranty. The warranty period runs from the date of technical delivery of the equipment, as evidenced by the Technical Assistance Report / Start-up Service Order.

 

When the technical delivery does not take place at the time of tradition (simple delivery of the equipment to the buyer), the warranty coverage will be 15 (fifteen) months, which already includes the 90 (ninety) days of the legal warranty, counted from the date of issue of the first sales invoice for the Motor Pump. For the warranty to be valid, the end customer must comply with the storage, handling, application, assembly and operating conditions stipulated by MWM and contained in the Operations and Maintenance Manual for the Product and its subsystems.

 

Failure to observe the procedures and specifications contained in the manuals may result in loss of performance, malfunction, damage and consequently loss of warranty.

 

NOTE: Repairs carried out during the warranty period do not renew or alter the original warranty period of the equipment.

NOT COVERED by the MWM Motor Pumps Warranty:

 

  • Belts, filters, tires and other parts considered to be periodic maintenance or natural wear items, except when their replacement is due to a consequential fault covered by the Warranty.
  • Loss of profit, inconveniences, rental of replacement equipment, rental of transport vehicles (such as tow trucks and Munck-type cranes), personal, material or commercial losses or expenses that are a direct or indirect result of a product failure, even if such failure is covered by its Warranty.
  • The warranty covers the parts and labor required for the repair, and freight and other expenses are not covered.
  • Expenses arising from periodic maintenance services such as replacing gaskets, sealants, filters, lubricating oil, fuel, grease and the like, as well as paint damage, are not covered by this Warranty.
  • The Warranty will become null and void when it is proven that the defect or breakage was the result of accidents, improper use of the product, failure to observe maintenance instructions, improper storage, inexperience, malpractice or negligence on the part of the system operator, or the use of improper equipment not recommended by MWM.
  • In the case of versions of the MWM Motor Pump equipped with a Diesel or Biogas engine, the Warranty will become null and void when it becomes evident that unsuitable fuel has been used or that it is not in accordance with the specifications contained in the engine manuals and that this may damage the injection system and related parts.
  • In the case of MWM Lighting Tower versions equipped with Diesel or Biogas engines, MWM may reject a warranty claim due to non-application of the long inactivity procedure, since an engine inactive for a long period is susceptible to attack by corrosive agents. MWM motor pumps leave the factory protected for a maximum of 6 (six) months of inactivity under closed cover, so after this period it is mandatory to apply the procedure described in the Engine Operation and Maintenance Manual.
  • The warranty does not cover equipment applications that have not been approved by your Applications Engineering department.
  • Parts or components that are defective due to the use of other non-MWM parts or components improperly applied to the product are excluded from the warranty.
  • A product that has been neglected in any way and has affected its safety is also excluded from the warranty.

GAS TREATMENT SYSTEM
This Warranty applies to Biodigester Gas Treatment Systems manufactured by MWM and guarantees, against manufacturing or material defects, original parts and accessories with which the products are equipped at the time of purchase.

When the technical delivery takes place at the time of tradition (simple delivery of the equipment to the buyer), the Gas Treatment System warranty will be 12 (twelve) months, which already includes the 90 (ninety) day legal warranty. The warranty period runs from the date of technical delivery of the equipment, as evidenced by the Technical Assistance Report / Start-up Service Order.

 

When the technical delivery does not take place at the time of tradition (simple delivery of the equipment to the buyer), the warranty coverage will be 15 (fifteen) months, which already includes the 90 (ninety) days of the legal warranty, counted from the date of issue of the first sales invoice for the Gas Treatment System. For the warranty to be valid, the end customer must comply with the storage, handling, application, assembly and operating conditions stipulated by MWM and contained in the Operations and Maintenance Manual for the Product and its subsystems.

 

Failure to observe the procedures and specifications contained in the manuals may result in loss of performance, malfunction, damage and consequently loss of warranty.

The MWM biodigester warranty covers a total of 12 (twelve) months, including the 90 (ninety) day legal warranty. The warranty period runs from the date of technical delivery of the system, proven by the Technical Assistance Report / Start-up Service Order.
